What we collect
Only what you type into our forms:
- your name, your e-mail address and the country where you live;
- if you choose to give them: your city, your country of origin or heritage, the number of adults in your household, the name of your association and your role in it;
- the message you write to us.
The provider that hosts this website keeps technical logs, such as the address of your device, the time and the page requested, to keep the site secure and working.
The chat on this site runs inside your browser. What you type into it is not sent to us.
What we never collect
- immigration or residence status;
- the numbers of passports, identity cards or permits;
- information about your health, your religion or your political opinions;
- payment details.
Please do not put any of these into a message box.
Why we use it
- to answer you;
- to manage your membership, or the registration of your association;
- to write to you about serving, if you offered to serve;
- to send you news of the benefits in your country, only if you ticked that box.
We do this on the basis of the request you make and the consent you give when you send a form. You may withdraw that consent at any time.
Where it is stored
Our international office is in the United States, and your details may be stored or handled there, outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by the safeguards that European data-protection law requires for international transfers.
How long we keep it
For as long as you are a member, or your association is registered, and until you ask us to delete it. Write to us and we delete your registration.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time:
- to see the personal data we hold about you, and to receive a copy;
- to correct it;
- to delete it;
- to restrict or object to its use;
- to withdraw your consent.
Write to members@taseurope.org. You also have the right to complain to the data-protection authority of the country where you live.
These are rights you hold under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union and the EEA, under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 in the United Kingdom, and under the Federal Act on Data Protection in Switzerland.
